FP&A Analyst
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, and be able to confidently partner with all levels of employees including executive leadership. It will report to FP&A leadership with a dotted line to the CFO, and work with X’s FP&A and Revenue Finance teams, and internal clients throughout the business. It will require a sharp and analytic mind to focus on cost of revenue and optimizing for gross margin across ad sales, content deals and other strategic initiatives. Outstanding candidates will also be able to find opportunities for maximizing revenue, gross margin, and deal structures.

Base Range: $127,000 - $166,000

Responsibilities:
Build models to analyze complex and sometimes ambiguous business issues: revenue forecasting, market sizing, compensation structures, product launches
Keen understanding of cost of revenue and ability to build and partition costs to accurately reflect cost of revenue associated with various ad sales deals, content deals, and other strategic initiatives as they present.
Work closely with Partnerships & Sales management to create growth plans and to determine optimal resource allocation
Work with key stakeholders to create, draft, and communicate policies to facilitate smoother operations and improve decision making
Work with large data sets, synthesize insights, and present recommendations to executives
Design and implement reporting tools for your business partners
Create meaningful presentations and analyses that tell a story focused on insights, not just data
Streamline processes and increase bandwidth within the FP&A team through automation and outsourcing
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record
4-7 years of experience preferably in investment banking, investment management, management consulting, FP&A or in the internet industry
Experience in ad sales strongly preferred
Experience in content FP&A and or content accounting strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to work and produce final products as a high-performing individual contributor
Excel/Google docs and financial modeling skills
Experience manipulating complex and large data sets
Experience in SQL required; Tableau and GBQ a plus
