The Senior Director, Brand Partnerships will be responsible for driving revenue by selling integrated marketing campaigns to national and regional brands, leveraging College Sports Company’s platforms, including digital, social, and live events. This role requires a proactive sales professional with a knack for building relationships, understanding brand needs, and closing deals in the fast-paced sports marketing landscape.
key responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities with national and regional brands, pitching tailored marketing campaigns that align with College Sports Company’s offerings.
- Develop and present compelling proposals, including sponsorship packages, digital campaigns, and event activations, to meet clients’ marketing objectives.
- Achieve and exceed individual sales targets through proactive outreach, relationship building, and strategic account management.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with brand partners, serving as their primary point of contact during the sales process.
- Collaborate with the Director of Integrated Marketing to craft customized campaign ideas that resonate with brand goals and the college sports audience.
- Represent College Sports Company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to generate leads and build brand visibility.
- Work closely with the integrated marketing team and internal content teams to ensure seamless handoff of sold campaigns for execution.
- Track and report on sales pipeline, client interactions, and campaign performance metrics using CRM tools to drive accountability and results.
qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in sales business development, preferably in sports marketing, media, or advertising. Startup sales experience is a major plus.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with experience selling to national and regional brands.
- Strong understanding of the college sports industry and its appeal to brand sponsors.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.
