About the role

In this pivotal role reporting to the Director of Strategic Finance & Analysis, the Group FP&A Manager at Sky Mavis will lead the financial planning and analysis functions of our organization. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the finance team to implement new processes and play a vital role in shaping the financial landscape. Additionally, the Group FP&A Manager will engage with the business strategy team, providing indispensable support for commercial deals, contributing to the financial aspects of strategic initiatives.

Beyond traditional FP&A responsibilities, this role at Sky Mavis involves actively participating in setting key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with the wider business. Moreover, the Group FP&A Manager will be central to delivering operational reports that empower stakeholders across the organization to make informed and strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

Financial Planning

• Lead the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
• Work closely with department and product heads to understand business drivers and key assumptions for accurate financial modeling.
• Ensure alignment of financial plans with overall strategic goals and objectives.

Analysis and Reporting

• Prepare and present comprehensive financial analyses, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track financial and operational performance.
• Provide insightful commentary and recommendations to senior management based on analysis results.
• Monitor budget performance and collaborate with department heads to ensure adherence to financial plans.

Forecasting and Scenario Planning

• Develop and maintain robust forecasting models to assess potential scenarios and their impact on financial outcomes.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify risks and opportunities, and recommend appropriate actions.
• Identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.

Business Partnering

• Partner with the Sky Mavis business strategy team to provide financial insights and support in commercial deal evaluations.
• Collaborate with the key stakeholders to set meaningful KPIs that align with organizational goals and drive performance improvements.

Business Strategy Collaboration

• Partner with the Sky Mavis business strategy team to provide financial insights and support in commercial deal evaluations.
• Contribute to the development and assessment of financial aspects related to strategic initiatives.

Process Improvement:

• Continuously assess and enhance FP&A processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Implement best practices and stay updated on industry trends in financial planning and analysis.
