What is Polygon Labs?
Polygon Labs is a software development company building and developing a network of aggregated blockchains via the AggLayer, secured by Ethereum. As public infrastructure, the AggLayer will bring together user bases and liquidity for any connected chain, and leverage Ethereum as a settlement layer. Polygon Labs has also contributed to the core development of several widely-adopted scaling protocols and tools for launching blockchains, including Polygon PoS, Polygon zkEVM, and Polygon Miden, which is in development as well as Polygon CDK.
Job Summary
As a Polygon Success Manager (PSM) at Polygon Labs, you will serve as the essential link between our company, our valued 3rd party solution providers (e.g., data availability, oracles, bridges, block explorers, wallets, and more), and the chains building on CDK and connecting to the AggLayer. Your primary responsibility is to ensure an exceptional experience throughout the entire Polygon journey. You will play a pivotal role in building, retaining, and expanding our relationships by helping chains realize the full potential of the Polygon 3rd party Solution Providers ecosystem.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Engagement: Lead the engagement processes for key Solution Providers, ensuring a seamless introduction to the Polygon ecosystem. Focus on driving strong collaboration and continuous engagement with key Solution Providers that prioritize Polygon protocols.
- Proactive Relationship Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive engagement and communication strategy that proactively maintains high satisfaction levels and aligns incentives with Solution Providers. This includes regular check-ins and success reviews to assess performance against established KPIs, goals, and initiatives.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize Polygon chain data to gain valuable insights that inform decision-making and guide solution providers towards increased adoption and satisfaction.
- Voice of the Provider (VoP): Act as the primary steward of the relationship, collaborating cross-functionally with Business Development, Marketing, Solution Engineering, and Product Teams to ensure a consistent and compelling message is embedded internally.
- Product Expertise: Become an expert in the Polygon protocols, 3rd party solution providers, and developer tools and educate chains on the advantages and benefits of the same. Work closely with solution providers to ensure they effectively integrate with Polygon blockchain solutions and extract maximum value.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about Web3 market conditions and translate this knowledge into tailored value propositions, aligning Polygon Labs with each provider's unique needs.
- Effective Planning and Prioritization: Efficiently plan and prioritize provider initiatives, activities, issues, and requests. Ensure timely follow-ups and clarity in issue resolution by asking clarifying questions and providing alternate solutions when applicable.
- Collaboration with Business Development/Solution Engineering: Collaborate closely with the Business Development team to share insights that inform additional product offerings, expansion opportunities, and professional services.
- Advocacy Building: Identify and cultivate advocacy relationships with strategic providers, leveraging them as marketing channels through case studies, speaking opportunities, references, and more.
What you’ll need - Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in a client-facing role in the blockchain-related field.
- Strong understanding of Web3 and blockchain technology is required.
- Deep knowledge of the Web3 infrastructure stack and the key players in the space is required.
- Thought-leadership in public good infrastructure is a plus.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM and partner management tools.
