Meet the Team

Cisco’s Collaboration organization is transforming how people connect, communicate, and collaborate in a hybrid world. Our team partners closely with customers and Sales to design and deliver Collaboration solutions that create meaningful experiences for employees and customers alike. We build technology with purpose and foster an inclusive culture where individuals can do their best work while helping organizations achieve their business outcomes.

Your Impact

As a Collaboration Solutions Engineer, you will partner closely with Sales counterparts and portfolio teams to help customers in the US Commercial segment achieve their Collaboration goals and outcomes. You will lead technical discovery, design solutions, and deliver compelling demonstrations that connect customer needs to Cisco Collaboration outcomes.

This is a pre-sales, customer-facing role focused on guiding customers through modern Collaboration architectures, including cloud and hybrid transitions (not cloud-only). You will earn customer trust, influence technical decisions, and support deals from early discovery through technical close and validation. You will operate independently on standard opportunities and collaborate with peers and specialists on complex and unique engagements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with Sales to support pre-sales Collaboration opportunities across the US Commercial customer base in the NYC and New Jersey area
  • Conduct technical discovery to understand customer environments, business drivers, and success criteria
  • Design Collaboration solutions that align customer requirements with Cisco Collaboration capabilities
  • Deliver clear, outcome-focused presentations and demonstrations to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Lead or support customer trials, proofs of concept, and evaluations to drive technical validation
  • Articulate the business and technical value of Cisco’s Collaboration portfolio, including cloud and hybrid use cases
  • Support customers transitioning from on-premises Collaboration environments to cloud-based solutions
  • Collaborate with Partners to encourage adoption, enablement, and effective solution design
  • Contribute to proposals, architectures, and technical responses that support sales motions
  • Use sales and opportunity management tools (e.g., SFDC, Tableau, Clari, and Gong) to track activities and support pipeline progression
  • Build trusted technical advisor relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant consulting or pre-sales engineering experience
  • Experience providing pre-sales or consulting support for Collaboration or communications technologies
  • Exposure to Cisco Collaboration on-premises infrastructure such as CUCM and CUC
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Collaboration solutions, including Webex Calling, Webex Meetings, and Cisco devices
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong foundational knowledge of unified communications, conferencing, contact center, or Collaboration devices
  • Working knowledge of Collaboration protocols and concepts (e.g., SIP, dial plans, Voice/Video fundamentals)
  • Experience supporting or advising customers through on-premises to cloud migration discussions
  • Familiarity with switching, routing, or security concepts
  • Exposure to Cisco Collaboration Customer Experience technologies, including UCCX, Webex Contact Center, Webex Contact Center Enterprise, and CPaaS
