Meet the Team
Lead the founding DevOps team building Cisco’s next-generation multi-cloud networking (MCN) platform from the ground up. You will lead a 4-person India-based DevOps team, providing technical leadership and establishing best practices while coordinating closely with Backend, SRE, and QA leaders to power the future of global connectivity.

Your Impact
As Lead DevOps Engineer, you will architect the CI/CD strategy and ensure reliable automated deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP—handling billions of daily transactions across 9+ global regions. You will define the DevOps strategy that scales from Alpha (Early 2026) to Beta and GA, making a direct impact on how Cisco’s multi-cloud infrastructure operates at a massive scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead CI/CD Architecture: Design and oversee deployment pipelines across AWS (EKS), Azure (AKS), and GCP (GKE) using GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
  • Technical Leadership: Mentor Grade 10/8 DevOps engineers, conduct code reviews, and establish team-wide best practices.
  • Multi-Cloud Strategy: Define MCN’s multi-cloud deployment strategy with a focus on consistency, reliability, and disaster recovery.
  • Infrastructure as Code Excellence: Architect Terraform module patterns for regional deployment automation.
  • AI-Native Operations: Champion the development of MCP servers and AI agents that detect deployment issues, automate rollbacks, and provide intelligent troubleshooting.
  • Security Architecture: Design comprehensive secrets management strategies across AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault, and GCP Secret Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in large-scale distributed systems and DevOps or SRE practices at scale.
  • 5+ years of programming expertise in Python and/or Go (C++/Java experience is also applicable).
  • Proven leadership experience in mentoring and guiding engineering teams.
  • Expertise in CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins) and Kubernetes architecture across EKS, AKS, and GKE.
  • Advanced proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and GitOps methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP stack, BGP routing, IPsec VPN).
  • Experience with multi-cloud deployment at scale across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Expertise in secrets management and PKI infrastructure (certificate management and rotation).
  • Excellent technical communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Experience or interest in AI-native DevOps and MCP development.
