Your Impact
As an Observability Solutions Engineer, you play a crucial role in the pre-sales process, partnering with Splunk’s account teams to deliver technical expertise on Splunk’s observability solutions. You will support commercial and public sector clients across various industries and regions, acting as the subject matter expert for unified observability products.
- Establish and proactively maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Collaborate closely with account teams to align with sales strategies, providing support through briefings, demos, proposals, Proof of Values (POVs), integrations, and issue resolution for Splunk’s observability portfolio.
- Engage directly with customers to understand their IT challenges and business objectives, mapping these to Splunk product capabilities.
- Demonstrate Splunk’s observability products and services onsite, remotely via webinars, and at field events such as conferences and trade shows.
- Apply organized and analytical approaches to overcome sales obstacles creatively and adaptively.
- Contribute to a dynamic technical organization with a rapidly growing customer base.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of successful experience as a pre-sales engineer, systems integrator, or equivalent role within Observability and AIOps domains.
- Familiarity with technical aspects of public tenders (RFIs/RFPs).
- Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of common application architectures (e.g., Microservices, Layered, Event-driven).
- Proficiency in shell scripting and system administration fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong collaboration and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of programming languages.
- Available to travel to visit prospects and customers in the region. This can be up to 50% of the time.
