As an integral member of this team, you will work with a team of seasoned engineers. You will have the opportunity to test some of the world’s largest Service Provider networks (like, Verizon, ATT) and Web customer networks (like GOOG, Microsoft) that are continuously evolving towards enabling the support of newer and exciting customer business paradigms.

In your role as Software Engineer, you will test products that are deployed by some of the leading service providers and Web customers in the world. You will work with a BU-wide vibrant technical community, learning from experts and translating this learning into exciting opportunities for growth. Besides this, you will also mentor your junior colleagues in their day-to-day activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working in core automation & optical features and having expertise in the same
  • Proficient in Python automation to be able to automate tests as well as framework for faster coverage
  • DWDM line systems, EDFAs, Raman amplifiers, ROADMs, and control loops.

  • Driving entire automation across Org & binding team together.
  • Expertise in CLI, Netconf, Restconf, OpenConfig, SNMP, and Telemetry.
  • Conduct and engage in peer reviews of test plans and automation scripts.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, familiarity with Linux and modern software tools and techniques for development/debugging and solid software design and development skills
  • Quick learner with an open mind to "grey box" testing, bringing in strategic on-the-box, off-the-box views that reflect the state of IOS-XR systems.
  • Experience in test engineering concepts and methodologies including test planning, test case design, test execution and test automation
  • Experience in Layer-0, Layer-1 traffic generators and analysers (e.g. Viavi, Agilent, Spirent, IXIA, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certification such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIE/JCNA/JCIE will be a plus
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Results oriented with a high degree of accountability, dedication and responsibility
  • Typically requires MS/BS in EE/CS combined with 8 - 11 years proven experience
