At the intersection of data, architecture, and large-scale operations, the Sizing & Architecture Governance (SAG) team plays a key role in the delivery, maintenance, and supply-chain lifecycle of Splunk Enterprise Cloud (SEC). We transform complex customer workloads into precise, high-performance cloud architectures that ensure every deployment is reliable, efficient, and built for scale. By combining creative problem-solving with deep technical insight, the team develops intelligent systems that analyze and visualize real-world demand, guiding critical decisions across Cisco’s cloud operations. Known for its curiosity, collaboration, and forward-thinking engineering culture, the team helps power the seamless, optimized cloud experiences customers rely on every day.

Your Impact

  • Design and build application features that transform customer workload data into optimized, scalable cloud architectures.

  • Develop and enhance tools that analyze and visualize real-world demand, enabling deeper insights across Splunk Enterprise.

  • Partner with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to drive data-informed decisions that elevate the application's impact and accuracy.

  • Contribute to a major application redesign, helping modernize the experience and deliver a cleaner, smarter, and more intuitive interface.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, with proven academic success.

  • Basic understanding of common algorithms and data structures, including how different data structures impact performance.

  • Strong fundamentals in programming, familiarity with modern web technologies (JavaScript/Typescript, HTML, CSS), and basic knowledge of React or other modern JavaScript framework with the ability to learn quickly.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a creative and analytical approach to technical challenges.

  • Eligibility is limited to Australian citizens and permanent residents; student or self-secured visas are not accepted.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to RESTful APIs and integrating frontend components with backend services.

  • Interest or experience in modernizing or migrating applications (e.g., componentizing traditional UI structure, reorganizing UI components, layer-based render chain management).

  • Experience with Golang and complex SQL experiences would be a plus

  • Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions, collaborate, and iterate.

  • Curiosity, adaptability, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for learning new tools, frameworks, or technologies.
