The Security and Trust Organization (STO) is central to building a secure infrastructure and fostering customer trust. As a key enabler of Cisco’s mission to be the #1 Trusted Business Partner, STO leads the innovation, training, and implementation of security and trust capabilities across all Cisco products. Reporting to Cisco’s Chief Security and Trust Officer, STO is foundational in embedding security into every aspect of Cisco’s operations.

The Cloud Assurance, Readiness & Compliance (CloudARC) team within STO is responsible for ensuring Cisco’s cloud portfolio is able to demonstrate highest levels of security assurance to our global customers while maintaining cybersecurity compliance and certifications required to access markets around the world. Our team plays a leading role in understanding customer needs for security, privacy, data protection, and customer data management. We inform, support, and collaborate with customers, Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Government Affairs and Legal; building industry leading trust and transparency through security and complianceT.

Your Impact

The EMEA Cloud Compliance Leader will own the go-to-market compliance strategy for Cisco Cloud offerings across EMEA and drive achievement of compliance and regulatory frameworks such as ISO, ENS, C5, ACN QC, DORA, CRA and NIS2. This role will be at the forefront of Cisco’s rapidly expanding cloud compliance portfolio and will be responsible for the EMEA product compliance roadmap in close collaboration with CloudARC leadership, Product Management, and Market Access. In addition, the candidate will own the strategy to address evolving AI frameworks such as ISO42001 and EU AI Act.

The ideal candidate is enthused by the idea of compliance as a business enabler, has experience leading and scaling EMEA compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g. ISO, C5, ENS, ACN QC, DORA) across cloud products, and has strong experience advising and influence internal and external stakeholders. This role is ideal for a leader and strategic thinker who is passionate about building scalable compliance capabilities, can influence across all levels of the business, and is driven by the opportunity to be on the forefront of customer trust.

  • Lead compliance and regulatory frameworks in Cisco’s EMEA portfolio and facilitate readiness and onboarding of new products and frameworks.

  • Collaborate with a team of compliance engineers to develop and execute common control strategies, ensuring internal readiness for certification.

  • Partner with Cisco Business Units (BUs) to support the adoption and onboarding of Common Cloud Controls and EMEA-specific frameworks.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for relevant security compliance frameworks, and EMEA data compliance requirements, providing guidance and expertise to product and sales teams.

  • Conduct information security assessments over a portfolio of products and prepare reports summarizing compliance results and remediation plans.

  • Work with CloudARC leaders, Product Management and Market Access team to develop and maintain the Product Compliance roadmap for EMEA frameworks.

  • Support local compliance by leading initiatives related to data privacy, security, and cloud compliance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in a security or compliance role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Experience Influencing and shaping compliance outcomes by proactively engaging with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and business stakeholders.

  • Hands-on experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS or other major cloud environments.

  • Proven track record in developing, implementing, and maintaining security policies, standards, and control frameworks.

  • Deep expertise leading regulatory compliance and security framework assessments such as ISO 27001, C5, ENS, ACN QC, and similar standards.

  • Strong understanding of key IT security processes and impact on compliance frameworks (e.g. AI and Machine Learning).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CCSK, or equivalent certifications.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Highly organized and adaptable with demonstrated success managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Team-oriented mindset, with a commitment to collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
