Munich, Germany - 11 July 23 AwesomeQA announced today that the company has raised $2.8M in a seed funding round led by North Island Ventures, to build an AI-driven customer support solution for web3. Participants in the round included Collab+Currency, Coinbase Ventures, Possible Ventures, Uniswap Labs Ventures, and Robot Ventures alongside notable angels, such as Hasu (Strategy Lead at Flashbots), Stepan Simkin (Co-Founder of Squads), and Christopher May (Co-Founder of Finoa) amongst others.
Customer support will play a pivotal role in onboarding and retaining the next billion Web3 users. Currently, information about web3 products is scattered across multiple platforms, especially within community channels like Discord and Telegram. AwesomeQA redefines the knowledge management flow by consolidating information and automatically serving it to users in the relevant channel.
Since Web3 projects are at the frontier of leveraging community-led growth, their users expect to receive support in community channels like Discord and Telegram. AwesomeQA answers questions in these channels automatically, improving the response time by 76%. Additionally, its advanced AI learns from all human interactions, continuously updating and expanding its knowledge base over time.
Founded by the brothers, Alexander and Korbinian Abstreiter, AwesomeQA was born out of their own frustrations while seeking relevant information for engaging with crypto projects.  Previously, Alexander helped scale the B2B Saas business Luminovo from 10 to 50 employees. Korbinian is a data science graduate from ETH Zurich and was the founding engineer of the beverage delivery service drink now. AwesomeQA is now growing its team in Munich.
While embarking on their mission to enhance customer support and streamline knowledge management for Web3, AwesomeQA has also participated in the Alliance accelerator, further strengthening their position as a leading player in the industry. AwesomeQA already powers customer support for over 60 web3 companies, including AAVE, Dune, and Scroll.
In the future, AwesomeQA has ambitious plans to evolve into the operating system for communities, offering businesses a seamless platform to build, support, and grow their communities with the assistance of AI. Beyond providing exceptional customer support, this vision includes leveraging data-driven insights to better understand users and implementing impactful strategies that directly influence product usage. By integrating community support and strategic engagement, AwesomeQA aims to empower businesses in maximizing the potential of their user base and fostering long-term growth.
Quotes:
Alexander Abstreiter:
We started the company when we couldn't find relevant information about web3 products during hackathons. We realized that customer support plays a key role in onboarding and retaining the next billion users to web3. Currently, information about web3 products is scattered across multiple platforms, particularly within community channels like Discord. AwesomeQA consolidates all this information and automatically serves it in the relevant channels to users.
Korbinian Abstreiter:
AwesomeQA has been designed to be AI first from the start. With models becoming more and more powerful, the biggest challenge in this new era of AI is knowledge management. Finding the best flow to handle knowledge is one of our highest priorities, as it is crucial for delivering the most effective customer support for web3 users.
Travis Scher (North Island Ventures):
The potential of Web3 lies in the strength of its communities, and AwesomeQA is building a best-in-class system, using state of the art technology, to enable companies and projects to upgrade the community and user experience. We’re thrilled to back them on their journey.
